Alright, truth be told i wrote this back in mayb but i just started blogging so i thought that i might as well post it because my thoughts on it haven't changed. tell me what you think .
Why? Why do these things happen to us? Everyday, why are people in the world constantly faced with tragedies, heartbreaks, losses, sicknesses and dissapointments? We neve will know the answer. All we know is that we put ourselves and our loved ones through so much during our time on this earth and we haven't the slightest idea why were doing it! But maybe that's the point. We do not live our lives for one simple reason. We are put on this Earth to live, to laugh and to love; to vry, to mourn and to grow. We are put on this earth to learn, and to teach everyone around us. In our lifetime, each and everyone of us will have different experiences and in some way, whether it be big or small, we will make a contribution to this world and it's future generations. And that's why I think we have been put on this world: to make a change, and to appreciate the changes that others have made. The ability t appreciate others is necessary to take every oppurtunity that comes our way. It allows to to see the beauty in something as natural as a river, or something as historic as the Colliseum. By possessing the ability to appreciate, we are able to learn from major world issues such as famine, poverty, disease, war and discrimination. By learnin of the hardships that people all around the world are faced with everydays allows us to realise how lucky we are, and how we should turn our own self pity into sympathy and direct it to those less fortunate then us. Let's harness that sympathy and compassion and make a chnage for the better. Let's make the poor wealthy, the hungry nourished, the lonely loved, and the forgotten remembered. Let;s make something of ourselves and not waste this wonderful oppurtunity of life that was given to us.
Albert Einstein once said "There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle, and the is as if everything is." I don't know about the rest of you, but the second option souds best to me. Consider every positive experience a miracle, no matter how insignificant it may appear to be. You may ask, "however can we do this?" Well i have your answer, and it;s only three words:
MAKE A CHANGE
